To be brutal, if you are making your decision to go into business based on the advice of strangers, who know next to nothing about your plans, then, no.



It sounds like you haven't done your homework. You need to to do a more research, draw up a business plan and make your decision based on the facts you uncover along the way rather than random opinions of strangers from the internet. They have no stake in your success, you do.



There is a program on The Food Network called "Recipe for Success". They document people starting up their own businesses in the food industry -- restaurants, bakerys, etc. It might give you a preview of what sorts of things you might go through when you start up your business.
