the person I was dealing with sent a package to a UPS store address instead of my home. What would happen? Would UPS return it back to sender, or hold it for me if I call?

USPS will deliver the parcel to ups store. you should call to ups store so they can hold for you i am 100% sure, everyone want to give you best customer service.

Wrong category. This is for computer and internet stuff. This is about your postal service. Just ask your local post office that handles your mail that they don't send you any mail straight home and that you will pick it up. I'm sure such agreements should be possible
