you are right on the fragile part and it all depends on the way you have it shipped from bulk rate to special delivery the costs vary as do the service, good luck with your lamp.

Well you can ship from the post office, from a postal annex, or anyplace that ships from fedex, ups, etc. I prefer one that has more options than just the post office so you can get the best price available to you. Check around...I like using Longs mailing center because you get a lot more options there. Regardless of where you go, they can supply boxes and envelopes, and pack the item for you but you will pay for the service. If you can get a box and pack the item yourself first, you can save some money but if not, they can take care of all of that for you. Just bring in the item, the address you are shipping to and they will do the rest of it for you.
